I work full time: online courses fit into my schedule, and I’ve heard great things about the school from my friends.

I could engage with other students and with the prof, but in a way that allowed me to remain in the communities I was already embedded in.

Rocky Mountain College was established by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta in 1992.

The college is governed by a nine-member Board of Governors, the members of which are submitted to the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada's Board of Directors.

Board members also include the EMCC President and the College President. The mandate of the Board of Governors is to establish and ensure that the mission and purposes of the College are achieved. The Board operates as a governing body and meets at least twice a year. Communication may be directed to the Chairperson of the Board by contacting the college.

Multi-Denominational Policy

One of RMC's strengths is its multi-denominational character which makes it possible for students to interact with people from a wide spectrum of Christian thought and practice.

Rocky Mountain College endorses an evangelical faith, which holds that the Bible is divinely inspired and is the final authority for believers in all matters of faith and practice. Individuals must have experienced forgiveness of sin and expressed faith in Jesus Christ in order to be a Christian.

Christians are to grow by God's strength in the daily practice of their faith.

We affirm that an individual's commitment to Christ makes one a Christian, not the denomination to which one belongs. Believers, regardless of denominational affiliation, must evidence the 'love for one another' which the Scriptures describe.

While we are multi-denominational, RMC is sponsored by one of these denominations, the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada.

As a result, we are a community of believers providing a setting in which individuals from many Christian heritages can grow in their knowledge and personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

We respect other Christian traditions, and we focus on developing Christians who stand together to advance the Kingdom of God.

Our students, faculty, administrators, and staff, assume the responsibility for building an openness to hear the perspectives of other Christian believers and determine not to undermine the beliefs or heritage of other Christians.
